Winterplace has slopes for all ages and levels of difficulty, including tubing. This is the number one place to learn to ski in the Southeast, with highly trained instructors and the largest snow tubing park in West Virginia. With a base elevation of 2,997 feet and a vertical drop of 603 feet, they offer over 90 skiable acres with 27 trails and one terrain park. The difficulty breakdown of our trails is as follows: easy – 37%; intermediate – 40%; advanced – 23%. They also feature ten lifts, including quads, doubles, triples, and magic carpets.
